That's why we encourage you to check the license status of any roofing contractor you plan to work with.

It is not actually illegal to operate without insurance, however. It is up to individual customers to make sure contractors they hire have full insurance coverage, including workers compensation. It is worth inquiring of any contractor you are interested in hiring.

Roofsavers Inc. was started by Jerry Locke in 1983. Locke Roofing and Waterproofing was started by Joe Locke in 1986.

The two brothers merged their companies in 1997. They realized that both company names had huge followings and therefore were worth keeping. Hence the combined name Roofsavers Locke Roofing.

Joe bought out his brother Jerry in 2005. In 2019, Joe started an Employee Stock Ownership Program. Now, all employees are owners of the company.
