When a tile roof leaks it is because of a failure of the underlayment or flashings. Correcting the failure requires removal of the roof tiles to get to the problem. A broken tile or tiles may make the leak worse, but are not the cause of the leak and replacement of a broken tile to repair a leak is not a permanent or reliable repair.
